This pinon tree seems to have been included in photos dating back to the pre-1900s. The next trip after this one, sometime in 2000, I noticed it was gone. Closer inspection revealed it had been chopped down. I figured there should have been a ceremony in its honor. I'm sure glad to have this and a few more images of it.
