One of the primary reasons that I so enjoy photography is that it has taught me to see that beauty is everywhere! We need not flock like photo-lemmings to the national parks. We need only visit our own 'backyard' to find and make pleasing images. I find that many people armed with a camera are trying to photograph a noun, a named place or scene. A photograph is much more! It is light, color, form, texture, emotion, and all the other elements that make our visual language.
